THE CONCEPT OF GAZE “Pleasant it is , when over a great sea the winds trouble the waters , to gaze from shore upon another’s great tribulation ; not because any man’s troubles are a delectable joy, but because to perceive you are free of them yourself is pleasant”. Lucretius has rightly said . Being in the constant gaze of someone makes a person extremely uncomfortable , nervous and often  harbor low self – respect. But the questions that continuously intrigue people are what is gaze, why is it so powerful , what is its politics? So let’s understand the meaning of gaze. In simple terms the word means to look steadily and intently , as with great curiosity, interest , pleasure or wonder. HISTORY Gaze is a psychological term brought into popular usage by Jacques Lacan to describe the anxious state that comes with the awareness that one can be viewed . The psychological effect, Lacan argues , is that the subject loses a degree of autonomy upon realizing that he or she is ...
BURULI ULCER When we think of world as a whole , spontaneously a division comes into our mind  i.e; of a developed world and a still developing world . The denizens of the third world countries bear the brunt of corrupt politics, low economic growth , poor record of human rights and above all , no health and medical security. After 65 years of independence and 64 years of being a democratic republic ,unfortunately no freedom and no self-right have arrived for Indian women. The poor state has continued its legacy of being poor in mental and social well being.Lack of respect and noble manners towards female communities is deep rooted and hugely practised in all institutions of society .The judicial courts don’t hold as much importance as “the court of public opinion does”. The women in this country have always been a suffering agent , no matter whet...
Since the present congress led UPA government would be facing general elections next year this budget had many reasons to be an anticipated budget. But this anticipation just dampened the spirits of many classes of Indian society . It fulfilled neither the hopes and aspirations of business class nor of the poor people. Just like railway budget it was more of political nature rather than populist. This time the tax slab for various income categories has not been revised and has been adopted as it was last year. Tax credit of rupees 2000 for income upto rupees 5 lakh has been provided. Since the fiscal deficit is already too high at 5.2% and lack of high revenue sources and burgeoning expenditure make the situation more worse  , the government instead of providing a tax credit of rupees 2000 upto income of 5 lakh could have provided it upto an income of  rupees 3 lakh. People earning above 3 lakh won’t mind paying  rupess 2000 as tax for the development of the nation. Her...
Whether its Goa or Patna , the eternal truth of 'hegemony' in  the human society presents a very ugly picture of  " the growing and  developing India , the third largest democracy " in the world. POVERTY  is not just  lack of food , clothing and shelter but also a  lack of the " right to lead a dignified life".
